Our company was founded as Senator Airfreight in 1984 with an initial team of 12 people working from our headquarters in Hamburg. From the beginning, we handled shipments worldwide with absolute dependability. Within a few years, we had established a reputation as a leading mid-sized provider in the air freight shipping industry. As our customers’ shipping and logistics requirements grew, our capabilities expanded to include ocean freight.
Today, our services span air, ocean, trucking, and warehousing, a complete logistics and distribution solution designed to meet all our customers’ needs in the rapidly evolving global economy.
To reflect the growing scope of our services and geographic presence, the company name was changed to Senator International in 1998, the same year that we opened our first U.S. office in Atlanta. Since then, we have established a truly global presence with offices in South America, starting with the opening of our Buenos Aires office in 2002, and Asia, starting with the opening of our Hong Kong office in 2005.
Almost 35 years after our company’s launch, the Senator International team has grown to more than 1,500 employees working in 62 locations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North and South America.
But throughout the evolution in the size and scope of our operations and services, one thing remains unchanged: Our unfailing commitment to meeting the highest standards of dependability and superior service.
