IMPACT OF OMICRON ON "SAB" FLIGHT SCHEDULE.

Flight cancellations and delays must be taken into account

At the beginning of the year, the global market situation is highly tense. Due to the COVID-19 variant Omikron, more infections and corresponding quarantine measures, there are flight cancellations and staff shortages in aircraft and also in ground handling worldwide.

The self-controlled flights of our "SAB" are also affected. Staff shortages lead to flight cancellations and postponements. Therefore, the current flight schedule cannot be adhered to. Especially on the "SAB" SENATOR Atlantic Bridge from Germany to USA several planned flights are cancelled. In the direction of Mexico, the COVID situation has not yet had any impact, but this may change in the course of the week. Therefore, no reliable statement can be made for Mexico City.

In the direction of South Africa and Singapore, no effect has yet been felt. After the holidays, the situation is still calm. However, no reliable forecast is possible for these routes either.

Recovery planning is ongoing. The lead times and rescheduling are constantly being reviewed to ensure that supply chains remain stable for our customers.
