Strike in Argentina. One-day closure of the SENATOR office in Buenos Aires
Due to a national strike called by the Argentine Federation of Trade Unions, SENATOR Argentina's office in Buenos Aires will be closed for one day on Tuesday, 25 September 2018. E-mails will be answered, in case of emergency the employees can be reached by Mobile Phone.
Since Monday midday, 24th September 2018, the strike starts and is planned 36 hours. Also the unions of the public rail traffic followed the request; currently the South American country is at a standstill.
The strike is against the economic policies of the conservative government, which has agreed austerity measures with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The result is, among other things, the level of the unemployment rate of 9.6%, which is the highest one in the last twelve years.
